 For more than ten years Edvins Bauers had the idea of recording his songs in a recording studio, but due to a variety of reasons it happened only in spring of 2007.
Two songs were recorded that spring, one of the two “Skatoties tālumā” reached the first position in Latvian Radio2 top and remained there for two weeks.
In 1989 Edvins founded his first band that played Latvian music with little elements of country music. Band fell apart in 1994 but the interest for country music kept growing and during the following years a lot of information was collected and musical style improvements were made. Meanwhile Latvia’s music scene evolved and country music got more popular. Country bands gained acknowledgeable recognition and there were now professional country musicians who really could play country music.
To obtain the desired sound for his songs, Edvins invited some of the leading county musicians of Latvia to participate in the recording sessions of 2007.
In 2008 Edvins together with Linita and the band „Krustceles” from a local town Limbaži had their debut in “COUNTRY BAUSKA” festival. They also performed at different events, took part in band competitions and of course worked in the studio. Their repertoire includes popular and some unknown songs in Latvian and English.
